How to play
Tap a light square in the board. The clue above it tells you the answer direction and how many letters you need. Type with the puzzle keyboard. Each answer runs across or down through connected squares; dark squares separate the answers. The selected word is highlighted, and the darker square shows where your next letter will go.
Use the crossings
For the clue “A place to borrow books (7),” LIBRARY fits the length. Each of its letters also contributes to any answer that crosses it. If you have only _ I B _ A _ Y, those crossings may help you recognize the word. Treat this as a worked example, not an answer to a particular daily puzzle.
Controls that keep you in the puzzle
Direction switches between Across and Down at a crossing. The keyboard arrow moves to the next clue, and the delete key corrects a letter. Check letters lets you review your current entries. On a short screen, swipe within the board to see other rows; the clue and keyboard stay close by. Actions also lets you use your phone’s own keyboard.
An easy way to begin
Answer the clues you recognize first. A short, certain answer is more useful than a long guess. Come back to harder clues after more crossings are filled.
